Born and brought up in a small village of Jharkhand, Sajid completed his early schooling from a government school of Chitarpur village in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand.
He did his graduation from India’s premier institute, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, followed by enrolling in early stage researcher (ESR) (as doctorate program for PhD) on Merri- Currie Fellow at IFW in Technical University Braunschweig, Germany. After returning from Germany, he joined CSIR – National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore as a researcher. Sajid started rural education initiatives “Schoolasium” on 2014.
He decided to resign from aerospace research job in 2016 to live a life dedicated in service of humanity and give wings to his dreams of establishing a schoolasium. Thereafter he is working full time in rural education and developing a resource centre to support schools in Jharkhand.
Sajid bagged Jharkhand state’s top 11 best entrepreneur award-2018, by US consulate General, Kolkata and DoIT & e-Gov. Jharkhand. The concerted and ceaseless hard work has earned his team the coveted award for the “Best Innovative Idea – School” by “DoIT & eGov and Government of Jharkhand 2019” on the 23rd of June, 2019. We are thrilled to share the information that, his team work has received the nomination of India’s prestigious award “PM award” in Innovation category for works in education.
