Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan.
Sir Bulu Imam from Hazaribag, Jharkhand is now a Padma Shri Awardee. A great for the people of Hazaribag and Jharkhand. He has dedicated his award to the community with which he has been working since 40 years. He has uplifted the Adivasis of Jharkhand and contributed to their empowerment and bringing their art in front of whole world. He has been awarded in the field of social work in environment. A literary genius of Hazaribag, Sir Bulu Imam is an Author, a Poet, a Painter, a Researcher, Promoter of Sohrai and khovar art in foreign countries. The winner of Gandhian peace prize in London in the year 2012.He has given a museum to Hazaribag situated at Dipugarha named- Sanskriti which contains rocks and artefacts which dates back to 3000 B.C and 10000 B.C.
He has written around 25 books. He has 500 Poems which we came to know after peeping into his 9 Almiras full of books, books and books, hand written notes, poem which are still intact since 1956, research papers. He has written 100 research papers published in international journals of repute and around 300 published international journal and national journals in different publications.
It was our pleasure to peep into his works and collections which is more than a collection of any department of post graduate in our university.
Sanskriti museum is the only museum in Hazaribag which needs to preserved as it can be an heritage for Hazaribag if government takes some interest in it.
