Sadaf Hussain ( MasterChef India- Reached at top 10 Chef of India, from Ramgarh(Sandi)
Sadaf Hussain , a small town boy made it to MasterChef India and reached at top 10 among pools of contestant all over India.
Sadaf used to live in a small place called 'Sandi' which falls on Nh-33 road and is 5 to 7 kms from Ramgarh Chowk. After completing his early education from DAV public school, Sadaf shifted to Ranchi to pursue his graduation and joined St.Xavier's College in 2007. Along with his graduation, he did a course in animation from Arena Multimedia to bring out his creative side alive. After completing his graduation he shifted to New Delhi where he got a job at CCS (centre for civil society) an NGO based at New Delhi. He was also inclined towards social service, but his dream was to be a chef. While asking Sadaf, how he pursued his dream, he says that, he took a challenge in himself when once he prepared food first time for his mother, when she was ill and the food he prepared was very bad and got scoldings from his Dad that 'tum Kabhie khana mat aibanana'.From there Sadaf decided to prove everybody wrong and he cooked delicious food for his friends when he was staying in a lodge in Ranchi and since then he never looked back.
In Delhi when he was working with Zee Industries, he used to prepare stuffs for his colleagues and his colleagues appreciated his food a lot and encouraged Sadaf to go professional. Sadaf wanted to open his own cafe to live his dream but due to financial issues he could not open one. He then came up with the idea of Pop up cafe in Delhi and invited his colleagues to join his cafe. Pop-up restaurants, also called supper clubs, are temporary restaurants. These restaurants often operate from a private home, former factory or similar space, and during festivals. Sadaf chose his colleagues kitchen to prepare delicious food. His idea of pop up cafe was also meant to help people to socialise among themselves and this idea gave him a great success when he promoted it through facebook.
After pop up cafe, he got dedicated to give a try for MasterChef India competition and in Season 5 he was called for an audition of MasterChef India.
In the audition, he prepared 'Malaysian Kebab' along with other deserts and he got selected in the season 5 of masterChef India.
He kept performing and preparing wonderful and delicious food items during his 3 to 4 Months of stay in Mumbai for the shoot of MasterChef India. He kept on increasing the quality of food along with taste in every round and reached at top 10 in the competition all over India.
Sadaf is a food consultant and stays in Delhi. Currently, he is busy writing books on food and has written one wonderful book named "Dastan-e-Dastarkhan.
